(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) - Like music, wine is made in an almost limitless variety of styles to suit every meal, mood or occasion. Within any given bottle you might find an uplifting sparkling wine; a fresh and racy white; a lusty red, or a luscious dessert wine.
Yet during many dining-out experiences patrons are limited to drinking from a single bottle: the one ordered with dinner. And to avoid disappointment, they often choose to stick with what's familiar.
Now Quattro is making it easy to try something new. Guests at Quattro on Fourth can explore the world of wine - by mixing and matching varieties and styles for their very own Bottle and a Half.
Depending on the occasion, the menu and their mood, guests simply make three different choices to enjoy throughout their meal from Quattro's half-bottle selections of sparkling wine, white wine, red wine, or after dinner choices.
Quattro's Bottle and a Half list is ever-changing and evolving. Presently there are 48 half-bottles representing an incalculable number of combinations.
"A great wine experience doesn't have to be about a very expensive wine," explains Patrick Corsi, managing partner and wine director for Quattro Restaurants. "Instead, it's about the moment - the setting, the mood, and of course, the food. It's about how well the wine works in that context."
And that's just the point of the Bottle and a Half. With Quattro's mouth-watering cuisine, renowned service, and three different wines to sip and savour, there's little chance that guests will miss out on great moments like those.
The original Quattro, Quattro on Fourth is owned and operated by partners Antonio and Patrick Corsi. The father and son team also owns Quattro at Whistler and Gusto di Quattro in North Vancouver. Visit them at www.quattrorestaurants.com.
